traditional thai massage is a 2500 year old technique for relaxing the body and quietening the mind. it can help relieve many physical problems such as back pain, tense shoulders and neck, stiffness, poor posture, indigestion and sciatica as well as more mental problems like stress and lethargy.

the basic form of massage is performed on a mat on the floor. the technique involves putting gentle but firm pressure on the body with the palms and thumbs, as well as relaxing, stretching of the limbs and back. in this way it works effectively on skin, muscle, the organs and the skeletal structure. blood and lymph circulation are increased and toxins are removed from tissues














FOOT MASSAGE

the foot massage benefits the whole body. the foot has thousands of nerve endings which are stimulated during a massage. it is believed that areas on the foot correspond to areas of the body, and that reflexology assists the self healing process.

The foot massage works the lower legs and feet with stretching and compression to ‘open’ energy lines. a stick is used to stimulate the reflex points on the feet which correspond to the internal organs of the body thus resulting in general health and well being. according to the chinese medicine, the sensory nerves of the internal organs that spread throughout the body are mainly gathered around the soles of the feet.
